History of Maple Farm Supply
After serving as a World War II bomber pilot Andrew Allen Moore decided to study agriculture in university. In 1949 A. A. Moore graduated from the OAC program at the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science and decided to join his grandfather in the seed business at Maple Seed Mill. Maple Seed Mill started in the mid 1950’s as a seed cleaning business which grew into a more extensive business to include selling CIL bagged fertilizer to the agriculture community. Overtime A.A.Moore took over the Maple Seed Mill and his grandfather retired from the business.
Maple Farm Supply Ltd., began its history back in 1969 when Andrew Alan Moore and CIL created a joint venture partnership and built Maple Farm Supply Ltd.
Bolton Location
One of two original locations of Maple Farm Supply Ltd. At time of opening it operated as the head office and still maintains this function today. The Bolton location was originally created with a farm supply store, farm fertilizer application and seed cleaning business. In the late eighties the company expanded to include the needs of the professional turf manager. Today the Bolton location is a strong force in turf sales and to a lesser extent agriculture and the country store provide substantial revenues to their business.
Ivy Location
An original location which also opened in 1969 upon Maple Farm Supply Ltd’s inception. Built and operated mainly as a seed cleaning mill until 1972 when 5 bins and a warehouse were built and the Ivy location started to sell fertilizer mixed at the Bolton location. In 1981 due to continued success and demand a two ton blender, extra overhead bins as well as a fertilizer impregnation system were added. In 1990-1991 the Ivy location was rebuilt entirely from the ground up with all new warehouses and office space. At this time the installation of a new fertilizer tower and seed tower were also resurrected. Today Ivy is a strong force in seed production in the marketplace and include Croplan Genetics and other companies of highest caliber in their line up.

History of Cardinal Farm Supply Ltd..
Cardinal Farm Supply Ltd. was first established on October 3, 1969 by Bob Card and CIL. In 1970 Cardinal underwent large growth including the installation of a bagger, a warehouse for bagged fertilizer, a blender, office space and a retail store.
Since 1969 new shipping bins, elevators, overhead bins and electronic scales were installed a few times over to keep up with production needs.
Continued growth in the 1970’s allowed for proper warehousing facilities to be built in order to handle chemicals.
In 1984 a separate warehouse and bulk storage facility were built for urea based blends.
In 2009, with increased growth in our seed business a 60’x120’ warehouse was built.
Cardinal started as a small company providing only bulk and bagged fertilizer, but has since grown to offer its customers a full-range of products and services including custom fertilizer and chemical application, custom fertilizer blending, GPS sales and service, seed and chemical sales, crop scouting and solar panel sales.
With all these services we can encompass the growers' every need.
